My bestest friend Suzanne does not watch TV like most Americans - she didn't watch it growing up either (which once made playing Trivial Pursuit with her as a teammate very frustrating). She keeps a small set on an old rolling cart in the closet and they too only roll it out to watch DVDs. When Caleb (my Godson) was very tiny, he would point to the closet and say "Crackin' Toast Grommit!" We laughed.

Looky, Daddy!

When I lived in Usti nad Labem, pit that it is, we did many beer tasting parties. We always found that people chose their local brew.

The Big Rock Candy Mountain--isn't that a purely hobo song? Not for kids at all?

It's so weird that I bought a 1951 TV and then I had no antenna and so I could say I had no TV but then a 1950s or 60s antenna came my way and now I get to say I have a TV! Yeah! I have a microwave too now! It's like I jumped into the future. We get one channel and I still haven't figured out what channel it is. I can hear the public station so I mostly end up 'watching' that. But DVDs are the way to go.
